  1. These are the basic release notes for Emacs 18.58 for the Atari ST/TT
  2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

  4. Note this is my 3rd distribution of Emacs. All needed files are in 
  5. the binary archive "1858b-d3.zoo". It is packed with "Zoo v2.1", but 
  6. if you are reading this you must have already unpacked the archive :)
  7.  
  8. There is a very nice manual (I have to brag a bit) that describes the 
  9. design philosopy of Emacs, how to install it, and its usage, in the 
  10. directory "documnts/". The relevent files are:
  11.  
  12. 1. st-emacs.doc     - An ASCII (ugly) version of the above mention
  13.               document.
  14.  
  15. 2. st-emacs.tex,    - The LaTeX version of the above. Be sure to 
  16.    emacsrc.tex          run LaTeX twice on it for it has a table of 
  17.               of contents that is generate only after the 
  18.               second pass. (only LaTeX st-emacs.tex, the
  19.               other file is automatically included by it.)
  20.  
  21. 3. refcard.tex         - This is right from the RAW distribution of
  22.               Emacs and is a nifty 6 page (can make a 2
  23.               sided tri-folding) reference card. See the 
  24.               comments in the top of the file for formating
  25.               options.

  27. Again please print either (1) or (2), installing Emacs on the ST
  28. will be next to impossible without reading the manual.
